Alley`s Classic American Diner in Douglas

I've been a few times and food was usually good. This I decided to try something different so asked the waitress about a couple of dishes and her answer was that the dishes were great but no. She should able to make a honest recommendation. Somewhat disappointed 😞

Needed something simple after a long day at the beach. Stopped here and debated on going in. It didn't really look open and the outside of the building was odd. But decided to give it a go. Glad we did. The dinning room was cute and the food was really good! Didn't seem to have kids meals so did a little sharing. Highly recommend the coleslaw and pulled pork anything. Even their side salad was excellent! Don't be turned away by its of appearance. Food was great!

My friends all raved about the shrimp. I joked that if it's not spectacular I'm making them pay for it. It's really spectacular. Try it. My husband got the meatloaf. Also very good! Go there and eat.

Great place to have a laid back fun night!!! We will be back!!

Went here for dinner 3 nights in a row when I was in Douglas mi food was outstanding and the staff were very friendly to me will go again my next trip out that way

My first time with 6 other friends and omg so much fun!! Server kept the drinks coming & we had a blast! This could be a winter thing... ❄😉

Good food and a fun time

Had the Roast Pork, mashed & gravy! Delicious. If the weather isn't cooperating, you can bowl while you eat. Bonus!!!!

This place is great. Good food (and half price apps on Monday!) and fun bowling. Staff is very friendly and they have a nice outdoor patio as well. For the price it's a really good place to eat!

I've had so many memorable good times at Alley's over the years! First the place is immaculate, well designed, welcoming, and definitely not your typical bowling alley. The owners are hands on, and really strive to try new things, and continuously improve. I recently had lunch there and the spinach salad with chicken was excellent. The menu is extensive, and there's definitely something for everyone. The beer is nice and cold the way it should be! If you get lucky "Sister Mary Margaret" will be your server, and she's sure to make you smile.

Went for bowling league night. (A Saturday.) Very nice place,, Great Rueben sandwiches,, nice crowd and good service with pleasant attitudes!

50 min wait for an order of chicken strips, wings, and a bowl of soup. Was given no silverware or napkins. Was told after 35 mins that they were out of the Mac n cheese my daughter ordered.

Great food and drinks. Bowling is fun and affordable! Great experience! !

We had a larger group... some orders were received incomplete and had to keep reminding waitress about things... food was good once everyone got what they ordered.

Good food and a sweet bowling alley

The restaurant was busy. I felt short staffed. Waited to order, waited to get drinks, and waited to get food. I felt the food was ok, but very disappointed in the service. My 7 year old daughter did not like her mac & cheese. I asked to have it removed. When the bill came it was not removed. I went up to another waitress and the owner stepped in. He said to me, this is our best seller that is bull S&*t, you just want a discount after the meal was over. I could care less about the $3 side order and took it out of the waitress's tip for never checking on us.

Great food and service

My husband loves breakfast and this place is by far the BEST place we have been too. A must try is the stuffed french toast and their hashbrowns! Both the General Manager and Chef came out to speak with us. You need to try this place.

Great little 8 lane bowling alley and restaurant to bring the kids or a quaint meal and drinks. We shared some appetizers, and you definitely have to try the inside out tamales!

Bowling was good, service was horrible. The man at the bowling counter was very nice, but the waitress seemed indifferent and never returned to our table after bringing our food. The chicken tenders were inedible, and when my husband asked the waitress to remove them from the bill, she agreed, but only because, as she said, “I don’t want to argue with you.” That is no way to treat a customer.

Great food. Only eight lanes of bowling but the atmosphere was enjoyable.

Great food, great servers, nice atmosphere. Well worth a visit. If you're in town and want a little fun bowling, along with good food and drinks, this is a great place to visit!

It might seem strange to have a restaurant with a bowling alley, but it makes for a nice atmosphere. The food was fresh and tasty. The service was good.

Top notch experience. Lizzo was playing when we came in, service was quick and friendly too! Outdoor seating was great just off the quiet road. Id recommend the fries over mashed potatoes, they were crispy battered and delicious. The jumbo shrimp basket was incredible, with a zippy homemade cocktail sauce to boot. Also, paper straws! Great experience here.

The service is not good at all, at least it was the night we were there. They had 1 bartender on a Friday night. The wait staff was worse. It seemed like they only had two waiters who were completely overwhelmed

They made last minute arrangements for our large group of 25 people when our other venue turned us away when they ran out of food. Thank you, Alleys! You were a blessing to our group.

I had the pulled pork burger. There was little to no sauce on the extremely small amount of pulled pork that topped the burger. This made for a disappointing lunch. Their battered fries and amazing Mac and cheese were their only redeeming quality. The atmosphere in the dining area was very nice and we loved the fresh flowers.

What a fun surprise. Great food and service. It has a separate dinning area, but you are welcome to go bowl a few frames as well. A great time!
